Course Goal / Objective
o provide students with knowledge of industrial wastewater characterization, physical, chemical, and biological treatment processes, as well as advanced treatment methods. Additionally, the course aims to develop students' ability to evaluate and design industry-specific wastewater treatment strategies.wastewater applications
Course Content
ICharacterization and classification of industrial wastewater based on sources, physical, chemical, and biological treatment methods, heavy metal removal, color and toxicity reduction, membrane technologies and advanced treatment processes, sector-based wastewater treatment strategies (textile, food, chemical, metal industry, etc.), wastewater recovery and reuse, regulatory frameworks, and discharge standards.
Course Precondition
Students are expected to have a fundamental understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes and chemical treatment methods.
