Course Goal / Objective
The aim of the course is to develop the critical thinking skills of the student who is exposed to the complex structure of the media, to teach the necessary analysis methods to interpret media contents and to provide information about critical writing methods suitable for media analysis. Thus, media literate students will be able to draw their own conclusions from various media platforms and critically analyze media productions even outside the classroom.
Course Content
Definition of media literacy, its scope, basic solutions and models, important explanations with contributions, exemplary country practices, basic principles, critical media literacy, general representation problem and legal dimension.
Course Precondition
There are no prerequisites for the course. It is sufficient for the student to read scientific studies related to the current field.
