Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to give basic principles of biosensors and to develop biosensor design

Course Content

Sensor elements, Transducer elements and methods, Enzyme kinetics and biochemistry, Electrochemical biosensors, Catalytic and affinity biosensors, Use of immunoassays, optical sensors, bioreceptor immobilization, and nanobiosensors. The basic technologies used in the field of biosensors will be analyzed theoretically and information will be given about biosensor design.
