Course Goal / Objective

It is the theoretical knowledge and application principles for the design and examination of excavations and retaining structures.

Course Content

Excavations, Supporting of excavations, Slope analyses, Retaining walls, Rigid and flexible retaining structures.

Course Precondition

To be successful in soil mechanics 1 and 2, foundation engineering and geotechnical courses from undergraduate courses
