Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to provide a map that will facilitate the development of a general understanding by bringing together concepts, theories and examples of common and similar elements observed in close relationships. For this purpose, it is aimed for students to be aware of the developmental stages of close relationships, to have knowledge about important processes such as communication, conflict resolution, love, sexuality, violence in close relationships, to explain the intervention methods related to the problems that may be encountered in close relationships, and to establish a connection between the information they have learned and the close relationships in their own lives.

Course Content

Distinctive aspects of close relationships, types of close relationships, processes and theoretical explanations about close relationships, research on close relationships, intervention methods used in close relationships constitute the content of the course.
