Course Goal / Objective

This course aims to enable students to understand the basic principles of digital design, to recognize digital circuit elements, to develop circuit design and application skills, and to gain competence in the analysis, synthesis and evaluation processes of digital systems.

Course Content

Oscillators, Flip Flops, Asynchronous Counters, Synchronous Counters, Registers, Analog to Digital Converters and Digital to Analog Converters.

LO01 Identify the basic components of oscillator circuits.
LO02 Defines Flip-Flop types (RS, JK, D, T) and explains their functions.
LO03 Physically assembles Flip-Flop circuits and operates the circuit.
LO04 Understand the working principles of asynchronous and synchronous counters and distinguish them from each other.
LO05 Designs counter circuits and operates them correctly on the breadboard.
LO06 Identify the types of registers and explain the differences between serial and parallel input/output.
LO07 Design recorder circuits and test its functionality by operating the circuit.
LO08 Explains the differences between digital and analog signals and the conversion processes of these signals.
LO09 It performs ADC and DAC applications in accordance with the circuit diagram.
