Course Goal / Objective

It is aimed to educate students who recognize hardware units, know the logic of operation, understand the working relationships of hardware units with each other, and produce solutions to technical problems that they may encounter.

LO01 It describes the functions and features of basic hardware components such as motherboard, processor, memory, storage units and power supply.
LO02 Explains the basic operating principles of the computer, data flow and command processing processes.
LO03 Examines the structure of processors, their working principles, and differences according to their generations.
LO04 Compares the types and features of RAM, ROM and cache memory.
LO05 Explains storage technologies such as HDD and SSD and evaluates their advantages.
LO06 Compares the functions and connection types of keyboard, mouse, printer, display and other input-output units.
LO07 Disassembles a computer into its components and explains the criteria for selecting suitable parts.
LO08 Edits BIOS/UEFI settings, makes basic configurations, and performs operating system installation steps.
LO09 Diagnoses common hardware problems and applies solutions.
LO10 Calculates the capacity of power supplies, selects the appropriate power supply and analyzes cooling solutions.
