Course Goal / Objective
The Basic Photography course primarily aims to enable participants to perform basic practices in photography and to have the basic skills and knowledge to produce photographic images. In addition, it aims to define, analyze and discuss photography as a medium of visual communication, taking into account its connection with language.
Course Content
The birth and development of photography. Knowledge, experience and techniques that can be adapted to photo camera technologies and digital photography technologies. Exposure, basic photographic lighting, basic principles of visual language, composition rules and aesthetics of photography. Ethics, copyrights. Diversity of subjects in photography. Currents in photography. Pioneering photographers. Productivity in photography. The future of photography and the influence of artificial intelligence applications.

In terms of the efficiency of the course, it would be very useful for each participant to obtain a camera within their means. For those who do not have the means to do so individually, equipment support can be provided to you within the equipment available at Çukurova University, Faculty of Communication. In order to benefit from this support, you will need to apply to the Production-Management Office of the Faculty of Communication Studio Complex during the shooting period of the application assignment within the scope of the course. Within the scope of this course, information about the equipment set you can obtain from the school will be shared with you. It should be emphasized that when you borrow the relevant equipment from the school, it will be credited to you. Therefore, you will need to use it very carefully. In addition, it is very important for you to review photographs frequently so that the lesson can be more productive.
