Course Goal / Objective

The aim of the course is to introduce the student to the engineering profession and ethics, to provide an approach to solving engineering problems, and to provide information about automotive engineering at an introductory level.

Engineering and Ethics, Technical legislation in the field of automotive engineering, Introduction to automotive fuels, alternative fuels and lubricants, Combustion and pollution formation, Thermodynamics of engine cycles, Introduction to internal combustion engines, Types of internal combustion engines, Starter system, Charging system, Cooling system, Lubricator system, Fuel system, Ignition and injection systems, Exhaust system of internal combustion engines, Introduction to fuel cells.
