Course Goal / Objective
Felsic magmas: Their chemistry, formation, solidification products, and crystallization behavior. Acidic magmatic rocks: Crystalline intrusive and extrusive rocks, amorphous rocks. Rock inclusions they contain and their genetic significance. It is expected that students will understand their mineralogy, chemistry, and tectonic evolution.
Course Content
Felsic magmas: Chemistry, formation; Solidification products; Crystallization behaviors. Acidic magmatites: Crystalline depth and surface rocks; Amorphous rocks. The rock inclusions they contain and their genetic meanings. Their mineralogy, chemistry and tectogenesis.
