Course Goal / Objective

To provide information about the biology and farming techniques of widely known freshwater lobsters (crayfish) and marine lobsters (clawed and spiny), which have of high commercial value

Course Content

The biology (morphology, anatomy, reproduction, nutrition, molting and growth) of the economically important claw and spiny lobsters and freshwater lobsters (crayfish) is given comparatively, and the culture practices of these species starting from broodstock through larvae, juvenile up to adult forms are explained.
