Course Goal / Objective

Knowing the real material behavior of concrete and reinforcement. With these behaviors, load transfer of reinforced concrete carrier systems to each other and calculation of the dimensions of the elements and the amount of reinforcement.

Course Content

Calculation of the dimensions and reinforcement amounts of the load-bearing elements (columns, beams, floors) of reinforced concrete structures under the loads they carry.

Course Precondition

Having taken physics courses and static strength courses.

Resources

Notes prepared for the courses are given to the student.

Notes

Betonarme Cilt 1. Davranış ve Hesap İlkeleri Uğur Ersoy, Erdem Canbay, Güney Özcebe EVRİM YAYINLARI

Course Learning Outcomes

Order Course Learning Outcomes
LO01 Calculates the dimensions and reinforcement amounts of beams operating under bending effect in load-bearing system elements.
LO02 Knows how to calculate the dimensions of columns, which are load-bearing system elements, and how to calculate the amount of reinforcement in stirrups and ribbed columns.
LO03 Knows how to calculate the carrying capacity of reinforced concrete carrier system elements using the carrying capacity method.
LO04 Calculates the carrying capacity of beams from reinforced concrete bearing elements.
