Course Goal / Objective

Learns the equipment used in water and wastewater treatment plants and their classification.

Course Content

Knows the classification of equipment used in water and wastewater treatment plants: sieving, grinders, sand removal, mixing, chemical feeding equipment, ventilation systems and pumps.

LO01 Defines and selects ventilation equipment, diffusers, blowers. Learn the equipment used in superficial aerators and pure oxygen systems.
LO02 Defines and determines the working mechanisms of the equipment used in treatment plants, grates and the features of grinders.
LO03 Identifies and selects dosing systems, pumps, membranes, scrapers. Learns mixing equipment.
LO04 Learns the usage areas and types of treatment equipment in the flow charts of wastewater treatment plants.
