Course Goal / Objective
Gets information about microbiology of water and fishery products, pathogenic bacteria, spoilage bacteria, molds and yeasts. Gets information about factors affecting water and seafood safety, safety indicators of water and seafood, microbiological criteria, microbiological sampling, reading-reporting and microbiological methods. Teachning total viable count, total Enterobactericeae count, total coliform count, total fecal coliform count, total fecal streptococcus count , identification of E. coli, Search for Listeria monocytogenes, and Salmonella spp.

Microbiology of water and fishery products, pathogenic bacteria, spoilage bacteria, molds and yeasts, factors affecting water and seafood safety, safety indicators of water and seafood, microbiological criteria, microbiological sampling, sample analysis, preparation of dilutions, cultivation on medium, counting-reporting , microbiological methods, qualitative methods, quantitative methods, classical methods, rapid methods, immunological methods related to DNA or antigen/Antibody reaction, total viable count, total Enterobactericeae count, total coliform count, total fecal coliform count, total fecal streptococcus count , identification of E. coli, Search for Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella spp.
