Course Goal / Objective

Students will learn about smooth muscle physiology, the conduction pathways in smooth muscle, and the use of drugs that act on smooth muscle.

Course Content

Smooth muscle signaling pathways, perception and response of signals coming from outside or inside the smooth muscle cell by the smooth muscle cell, receptor types and signaling systems
