Course Goal / Objective

To introduce the ecological, economic and social values of secondary trees and to provide the necessary knowledge and skills for their management. It is also aimed that students understand the importance of these species in terms of biodiversity and ecosystem sustainability.

Course Content

Definition and importance of secondary trees, Relationships between main tree species and secondary tree species, Habitat preferences, Distribution areas and biogeographic characteristics.
