Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to prepare students for advanced research on the social effects and psychological implications of human-machine communication, focusing on how relationships between humans and machine partners unfold through social processes, perceptual dynamics and interaction.
Course Content
This course covers advanced research on the social and psychological effects of human-machine communication. The course examines how relationships between humans and their machine partners are shaped through social processes, perceptual dynamics and interaction. The theoretical foundations of human-machine communication, perception and social attribution processes, modes of interaction, psychological effects at the individual and societal levels, social consequences of technological communication, and ethical debates on human-machine relations will be discussed.
