Course Goal / Objective

To learn the construction drawings of basic and derivative woven weaves and the weaves such as pique and cord created from these weaves. Also to learn the construction drawings of special woven structures such as towels, velvet, double-layered fabrics.

Course Content

General concepts and definitions related to fabric analysis and design. Basic and derivative weaving patterns. Special weaving structures (Crepe weaves, pique weaves, cord weaves, etc.). Three-thread system woven fabrics. Double-layered fabrics. Terry and velvet fabric structures.
