Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to make students comprehend the richness of the Turkish language, to use Turkish correctly and effectively both in writing and speaking, to instill the importance of language by understanding the relationship between language and culture, and to teach the rules to be followed in correspondence.
Course Content
In this course, language, the place and importance of language as a social institution in national life, the place of the Turkish language among world languages and the historical periods of the Turkish language, sounds in Turkish and their classification, rules regarding the sound characteristics and phonetics of Turkish, Turkish derivational suffixes and their application, general information about composition. The plan to be used in writing an essay, writing a petition and CV, spelling and punctuation are explained.
