Course Goal / Objective
Students develop the ability to transform abstract and concrete concepts into creative, innovative, and original works. They learn to apply various materials, methods, and techniques in their designs, exploring diverse color combinations. Through an enhanced sense of aesthetic awareness, they gain the perspective to create visual narratives by integrating style and photography. The course also equips students with the principles required to build strong visual identities in all areas touched by styling, including magazines, television, catalogs, and fashion shows.
Course Content
The course covers editorial styling for fashion magazines, collection styling, advertising and catalog styling, still-life styling, costume styling for television and film, runway styling, and personalized image and style consulting. It also explores the psychology of clothing, the preparation of storyboards based on conceptual themes for photo shoots, the collaborative relationship between the stylist and fashion photographer, and effective budget management for styling projects.
