Course Goal / Objective
To explain the basic concepts of sports nutrition, the functions of nutrients in the organism and their importance in sports, different energy gain methods depending on the type of sports, the principles of training and competition nutrition, nutritional ergogenic aids.
Course Content
Concepts and definitions, the meaning and importance of sports nutrition, energy metabolism, anthropometric measurements in sports, energy requirements and formation in sports, basic nutrients and their use in sports, periodization of nutrition, branch-specific nutrition principles during training and competition periods.
