Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to provide students with knowledge and skills regarding the production processes and technologies used in natural stone (such as marble, granite, and travertine), from quarry extraction to the final product stage. Within the scope of the course, students are expected to gain knowledge about natural stone quarry operations, cutting and extraction techniques, block production methods, processing technologies, and surface finishing processes. The course also aims to enable students to evaluate efficiency, quality, and occupational safety criteria in production processes, and to develop sustainable and environmentally friendly approaches in natural stone production.
