Course Goal / Objective

At the end of this course, students are expected to understand the properties of biomolecules and their definitions in biological materials.

Course Content

Within the scope of this course; Elemental composition of the human body, biochemical importance of cells and cellular organelles, structures, properties, identifications, biological functions of water and electrolytes, carbohydrates, lipids, amino acids, proteins, enzymes, vitamins, nucleic acids and biochemical analyses used in the diagnosis of diseases related to the metabolism of biomolecules will be discussed.
