Course Goal / Objective
The aim is to teach students about the effects of materials on interior perception, to develop their ability to evaluate material choices from an aesthetic and perceptual perspective, and to enable them to interpret visual illusions created in interior spaces.
Course Content
This course focuses on examining the effects of the visual and tactile properties of materials used in interior spaces on user perception. The course covers texture, color, gloss, surface character, and visual effects of materials. It also evaluates perceptual illusions created through material imitations, surface patterns, reflective surfaces, and optical effects. Students analyze the material-perception relationship through interior space examples and interpret its impact on spatial experience.
Course Precondition
There are no prerequisites.
