Course Goal / Objective

This course aims to examine the legal regulations applicable to individuals and institutions operating in the field of sports and to provide the necessary basic knowledge, skills, and attitudes by seeking solutions to legal problems arising in this field.

Course Content

Within the scope of the course, the legal nature of sports, the distinction between amateur and professional athletes, the rights and obligations of athletes, the structural and functional aspects of sports institutions and organizations (clubs, federations, Ministry of Youth and Sports, etc.), contractual relations between athletes, coaches, sponsors and media organizations, sports disciplinary law, arbitration mechanisms and international dispute resolution methods are examined.
