Course Goal / Objective
To teach music and rhythm at the graduate level in the field of Turkish folk dances through practical examples.
Course Content
In this course, the musical structure of Turkish folk dances will be examined in the context of regional diversity. The melodic and rhythmic characteristics of Turkish folk dance music will be analyzed. In this context, dance music related to the research and staging process will be discussed in the context of current paradigms.
