Course Goal / Objective
The aim is for students to familiarise themselves with digital healthcare systems and learn about the applications of concepts such as tele-health, wearable technologies, artificial intelligence and digital ergonomics within the fields of health; and to gain the ability to use these technologies within an ethical framework by understanding the role of digital tools in patient monitoring and the treatment process.
Course Content
The concept of digital health, tele-health applications, wearable health technologies (smartwatches, sensors), gamification and virtual reality (VR) in rehabilitation, an introduction to artificial intelligence and robotic rehabilitation, digital ergonomics (screen use and posture), digital health literacy and patient data security.
