Course Goal / Objective
To train specialist nurses who develop theories and knowledge related to nursing care models, healthcare organizations, and the field of home care nursing; who understand the ethical issues in home care and its importance for individuals and society; who propose solutions; who collaborate with related disciplines; who keep abreast of and utilize home care technologies; who analyze issues with a broad and deep perspective by integrating their knowledge; who conduct research to generate evidence; and who keep abreast of home care policies, healthcare organizations, legislation, and regulations, and apply their knowledge to the nursing profession and public health.
Course Content
This course covers home health nursing, home health care organization, the duties and responsibilities of home health nurses , comprehensive assessment of home care patients, home care for chronic conditions, patient and family education and counseling in home care, and the challenges faced by patients’ families and proposed solutions. It provides in-depth, expert-level knowledge regarding the role, importance, and responsibilities of home care nursing.
