Course Goal / Objective

The aim is to help students recognize professional errors and ensure patient and employee safety throughout their education and work life.

Course Content

This course covers the following topics: Malpractice, Conceptual Framework, Definitions Specific to Malpractice, Human Rights, Patient Rights, Healthcare Worker Rights, Patient Safety, Healthcare Worker Safety, Fault and Liability, Legal Responsibilities of Healthcare Workers, Case Studies and Analyses.
