Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to introduce students to the basic principles of manufacturing methods, production processes, machining and non-machining (chipless) manufacturing methods, and the tools and machine tools used; and to provide them with basic knowledge and skills in production technologies

Course Content

Introduction to manufacturing processes, machining and non-machining manufacturing methods, casting processes, welding technologies, plastic forming methods, machining principles, cutting tools, machine tools, introduction to CNC machine tools, production defects, quality control, and occupational safety issues.
