General Information
Dentistry Program includes courses and training in Community Oral Health, Dental Anatomy and Physiology, Restorative Dentistry, Endodontics, Prosthodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Diseases and Surgery, Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, Pedodontics, Orthodontics, Periodontology, Clinical Medical Sciences and Medical Ethics, in addition to the basic medicine courses given mainly in the first two years. It is a five-year training that covers the adoption of duties, authorities and responsibilities related to Dentistry. In the first 3 years of preclinical education, a strong education is provided by basic medical sciences and modern and equipped simulation laboratories. The clinical education carried out in the 4th and 5th grades is given in clinical settings where there are sufficient number of dental units for all disciplines of dentistry.

This program; - Provides basic and contemporary information on clinical and health sciences required by the profession as a dentist. -Includes basic medical sciences (1st, 2nd and 3rd grades) and Clinical medical sciences (4th and 5th grades). -Includes courses that integrate clinical medical science courses into the clinic. - Carries out preclinical education in the field of dentistry in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades in simulation and preclinical laboratories with modern and up-to-date educational equipment. -The clinical education is carried out in the clinical conditions of the faculty in the 4th and 5th grades under the responsibility of the lecturers of the relevant departments. It includes courses covering ethical and legal responsibilities required by the profession and allows these responsibilities to be implemented during clinical training.

Goals
Understanding that oral and dental health is one of the most important components of general health and striving to protect it, having up-to-date knowledge and skills about the diagnosis and treatment of oral and dental health diseases, complying with ethical, moral and legal rules, fulfilling professional responsibilities effectively and safely to train dentists who can work independently and meet international standards.
Objectives
-To provide students with a high level of theoretical and practical competence in the field of dentistry. In this context, providing adequate clinical practice environment and laboratories and improving their conditions according to current needs. - Planning the dentistry program to encourage the training of investigative and questioning physicians. - Establishing a continuously developed dental education life with a dynamic education and training plan.
Specific Admission Requirements
Students are accepted to this program with the placement result document given by the Assessment, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). However, within the scope of lateral transfer, they can be placed with Ek-1 Item and General Grade Point Average (GPA) in accordance with the current guidelines. The program has a quota of 1% for foreign students.

The students who have successfully accomplished this program gain Dentist degree and master of science diploma.

Qualification Requirements of Graduation
Students who complete their five-year education are given a bachelor's degree. Students must take at least 300 ECTS credits to successfully complete the program.
Access to Further Studies
Students who successfully complete their undergraduate education in this program can continue their education in their own field or in related fields as a result of the evaluation of ALES, undergraduate graduation GPA and interview exam together within the framework of "Ç.Ü. Graduate Education and Training Regulations". In addition, they can continue their education at universities in order to receive "Specialization Training" with the Specialization in Dentistry (DUS) Exam conducted by OSYM.
Internship
This course does not exist.
Applied Course
Practical courses in our faculty are given in the 4th and 5th grades. In our faculty, Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Endodontics, Prosthetic Dentistry, Orthodontics, Periodontology, Pedodontics and Restorative Dentistry clinics are carried out under the responsibility of the instructors, for 40 weeks, 20 hours a week for each class.

The program has exchange agreements with some universities in Europe within the scope of Erasmus+.
Employment Opportunities
Students who graduate from this faculty can be employed in the Oral and Dental Health Centers affiliated to the Ministry of Health, in the Higher Education Institutions where they are placed as a result of the Specialization in Dentistry (DUS) Exam, or in private clinics and practices.
