General Information
The Department of International Relations was founded in 2000, and the International Relations Master's Program began enrolling students in 2009. The department offers a wide range of courses in all related areas of the discipline, including political science, international politics, regional politics, diplomatic history, international political economy and foreign policy analysis. With regards to international partnerships, the department has over twenty bilateral arrangements with European universities under the Erasmus Exchange and Internship Programme. All academic staff regularly take part in various international research networks and projects.

Those who choose to pursue a degree in International Relations at Cukurova University considerably benefit from the department’s multidisciplinary approach. The curriculum is designed to help students in acquiring the relevant analytical skills to explain and discuss substantive issues in International Relations. Once graduated, students will be able to use Turkish, English and one other foreign language, academically and in the professional context.

Goals
The main purpose of the department is to educate students in the field of IR, and to help students and academic staff reach the highest level of their potentials and achievements and achieve desired levels of research management by constantly innovating in education, research, creativity and initiative.
Objectives
The main goal of the department is to create a diverse, open-minded, questioning, thought-provoking, participatory and inclusive education program so that students can realize their academic and professional goals. Furthermore, providing academic support to students' life after graduation by creating a dynamic student profile devoted to research, education and counseling/guidance is another goal of the department.
Specific Admission Requirements
In order to graduate from this programme, the students are required to successfully complete all the courses with a minimum average grade point of 3.00 out of 4.00.

Qualification Requirements of Graduation
Students must pass compulsory and elective courses with at least a total of 42 ECTS and 21 credits and complete the academic average requirement specified in the Çukurova University graduate studies regulation.
Access to Further Studies
The graduates of this program are eligible to apply for admission to obtain a PhD degree in their or related fields if they pass the evaluation process designated according to the “Regulations of Çukurova University Graduate Studies”, which includes a required ALES score and an adequate English language proficiency.
