General Information
Çukurova University Graduate School of Social Sciences Islamic History and Arts program aims to educate high level researchers within the related branches of Islamic History and Arts who are able to get and produce academic knowledge within scientific criteria; able to research and analyze in national and international levels; able to share the knowledge with the shareholders and whose ability of analysis are developed. The Program includes the sub-fields of Islamic History, Turkish-Islamic Arts History, Turkish-Islamic Literature and Turkish Religious Music. Master's degree is available in other subfields except Turkish Religious Music. Language of education and instruction is Turkish.

Goals
Has enough knowledge about history and methodology, Islamic History, Turkish Islamic Arts, Turkish Islamic Literature and Turkish Religious Music; read and understand classical sources; The aim of this course is to educate the social scientist who has history comprehension which can connect with other disciplines. Has compulsory knowledge in the field of Islamic History; Read and understand classical sources of Islamic history and analyze narrations; The aim of this course is to educate scientists who are specialized in the field of Islamic history and other disciplines.
Objectives
The Department of Islamic History and Arts provides students with postgraduate study; 1. To be able to identify topics related to theology, art, literature, music, culture and literature. 2. Identify the sources of information to be investigated and reach them and collect the data they need 3. To be able to analyze and evaluate the obtained data in the direction of problem solving 4. To be able to carry out researches according to scientific measurements and to produce available results 5. To be able to share scientific results with related persons, institutions and organizations 6. To be able to gain basic knowledge about political and social issues related to various periods of Islamic history, literature, art and music. 7. Arabic, Ottoman etc. read and understand the classical sources written in languages. 8. To be able to transform scientific gains to academic productivity with an academic and critical perspective. 9. To be a candidate for PhD education.
Specific Admission Requirements
Students who have a bachelor's degree and have received at least "40" points from YDS and equivalent types of exams; Within the framework of "C.U. Graduate Education and Training Regulations", ALES is selected by evaluating the Graduation GPA and the written and oral interview exams together. "Scientific Preparation Program" is applied to those other than the Faculty of Theology, the Faculty of Islamic Sciences or the Department of Religious Culture and Moral Education.
Qualification Awarded
Upon successful completion of this program, students are awarded a diploma in Islamic History and Arts (Master with Thesis). At the end of the program, the student has completed her master's degree in the department and becomes an expert in the relevant science.

Qualification Requirements of Graduation
At the end of the program, the student defends his/her graduate thesis in front of the appointed jury members and graduates if successful.
Access to Further Studies
In this program, students who have successfully completed a Master's degree can study in their respective fields or in related fields of doctorate programs, provided that they obtain a valid grade from ALES and have sufficient knowledge of Arabic, English and Persian.
