General Information
The Chemical Department with a yearly quota of 30 incoming students is one of the eight departments in the Faculty of Science and Letters at Çukurova University. Chemistry education is a four-year undergraduate program. The department has six subdivisions namely analytical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, biochemistry, industrial chemistry, organic chemistry and physical chemistry. All these subdivisions have their own research laboratories to do postgraduate education and national and international research projects. Undergraduate education is in Turkish and some courses in the graduate program are in English.

Feature & Definition
The objectives of the program are to provide the fundamentals of contemporary chemistry education to give an insight into recent research and industrial topics in chemistry to develop experimental and analytical skills in chemistry to encourage research activities in chemistry.

Goals
Purpose of the Program: Chemistry Department, teaching scientific thinking, analyzing professional problems; based on science and technology, has the qualities that can contribute to the development, aims to raise candidates for science and chemistry graduates in the light of basic knowledge of science.
Objectives
The aim of the program is to make the department of chemistry determine the education and research objectives in line with the current requirements of Turkey and to develop solutions to chemical problems and to develop common projects with the industry by conducting research activities at national and international level by competing with the world with knowledge and research infrastructure.
Specific Admission Requirements
Placement through a centralized national university placement examination (ÖSYS). Student Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM) is responsible to place students according to their ÖSYS scores.
Qualification Awarded
The students who have successfully accomplished this program gain the bachelor´s degree of Chemistry.

Qualification Requirements of Graduation
To be successful in this program, students are required to successfully complete all the courses to meet a minimum of 240 ECTS credit requirement and have a minimum of GPA of 2.00/4.00.
Access to Further Studies
The graduates of this program are eligible to apply for admission to graduate studies in same field or related areas if they pass the evaluation process designated according to the regulations of "Çukurova University Graduate Education and Examination Committee", which includes ALES, general point of average, and the interview.
