Goals
The program aims to provide a holistic view of human, ethical values, advanced research, conceptual and theoretical framework of nursing, and models of care, interpreting and analyzing information. In addition, doctoral education in nursing is an important step on the way to faculty membership, which creates scientific paradigms and provides training of nurses who carry out research activities that will improve the scientific infrastructure of the profession.
Objectives
To be able to think critically in the field of education, research, application and management with the nursing PhD education, to develop new approaches for the solution of problems, to analyze and synthesize the information, to use the research and development methods, to test the effectiveness of nursing models in care, to reflect the evidence-based applications to care, to ethical dilemmas and It is aimed to train world class nurses who are sensitive to value conflicts and can produce appropriate solutions.
Specific Admission Requirements
To apply for Nursing Ph.D. program, it is necessary to have a nursing degree or a master's degree. Other conditions are specified in the Regulation on Graduate Education of the Institute of Health Sciences of Çukurova University.

The students who successfully complete the program are awarded Doctorate Degree.

Qualification Requirements of Graduation
Students are required to fulfill the requirements of Çukurova University Health Sciences Institute Graduate Education Regulations. In order to receive the degree / complete the program, it is necessary to take courses from the doctoral curriculum announced for 120 ECTS credits and to complete these courses successfully. The student who completes the courses in the course period has to take the doctoral proficiency exam within the time specified in the regulation. After the completion of the course phase, it is required to conduct a thesis study on a subject to be determined together with the advisor faculty member and to present this study successfully in front of the jury to be appointed orally. To graduate from the program, 240 ECTS must be completed.
Access to Further Studies
Graduates who have successfully completed the PhD program may apply for post-doctoral studies or an academic position in higher education institutions in Turkey or abroad in the same or similar fields. Graduates can also apply for a specialist position in research centers in public institutions.
Internship
There is no internship in nursing program. There are applications within the scope of the courses.
