Feature & Definition
The program has been operating within the Institute of Health Sciences since the fall semester of the 2020-2021 academic year. Although the language of instruction is Turkish, students who want to participate in the program are expected to have foreign language skills that can easily follow and comprehend the relevant international literature. It is an 8 semester / 4 year program. The course plan consists of at least 240 ECTS, including seminar courses, specialization courses, proficiency exam, thesis proposal and thesis work, in addition to the compulsory and elective courses, provided that it is not less than 21 ECTS and not more than 32 ECTS in the semester.

Goals
Being able to reflect on the current developments in the field of health in the field of midwifery, to take part in the prevention, treatment, care, and rehabilitation of basic health problems, to work in line with the administrative needs of health institutions, to analyze the needs of the society, to think innovatively, to access the right information easily and quickly, to make lifelong learning a lifestyle. Our aim is to train specialist midwives with the qualifications to meet the needs of the age.
Objectives
It is aimed to gain features such as the ability to conduct research that will form the basis of evidence for practices in the field of midwifery, the ability to interpret and synthesize the results of the studies, to create a midwifery philosophy, and to provide advanced care and consultancy.
Specific Admission Requirements
Candidates who want to apply to the Midwifery Department doctorate program must have a Midwifery Bachelor's degree. A scientific preparation program is applied for students who have received their Master's (Thesis) degree from a program different from the Midwifery Master's (with Thesis) program. Çukurova University Graduate Education Regulations are taken into account for the application, admission, and registration conditions for the program.
