General Information

The purpose of our legal program is to provide students with the skills necessary to resolve legal issues by giving them an understanding of how legal principals, rules and judicial decisions apply in certain situations. The program is a four year, under-graduate, legal study which includes subjects in economy, finance and sociology. Founded in 2007, Çukurova University Faculty of Law had its first graduates in 2012.

Feature & Definition

In compliance with the necessities of contemporary law education, attaching impotance to both theoretical and practical education, the main goal of the programme is procuring well qualified jurists, who will practice law as lawyers, judges, prosecutors, academics, consultants, managers or administrators on the national und international stage, with intense technical knowledge and capacity to analyse and resolve complicated legal problems and adequacy in foreign language.

Goals

The undergraduate program of Cukurova University of Faculty of Law aims to train distinguished students and future legal academics, playing an active role in the process of creating law, contributing to the development of legal culture and sense of justice, watching and reviewing global and local issues closely and being able to assess these issues not only from the perspective of law but also from the angle of philosophy and sociology.

Objectives

The aim of the program is to create an exemplary model that trains lawyers who have the competence to solve the legal problems of the country and to be a pioneer in this field.

Specific Admission Requirements

Student Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM) is responsible to place students according to their ÖSYS scores.

The graduates of this program are eligible to apply for admission to graduate studies in same field or related areas if they pass the evaluation process designated according to the regulations of "Çukurova University Graduate Education and Examination Committee", which includes Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam, general point of average, and the interview.

Employment Opportunities

The graduates of the program gain the title of “graduate of faculty of law”. Additionally, the graduates satisfying required conditions, passing concerning exams,completing vocational education and training process are eligible for the titles of “lawyer”, “judge” or “prosecutor”. The graduates may also be employed for various positions in public and private sector.
