This programme is started in 1996-1997 academic year. Graduates of this programme receive the title of oral and dental health technician. Oral and dental health technician is the authorized technical personel who help the dentist during the treatment of dental and jaw disorders organized by the dentist and provides the basic information necessary for the development of oral health awareness.

This program is taken by the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) by OSYM. The aim of the oral and dental health programme is to educate students who meet the needs of the intermediate staff of our country, who has reached the international level of knowledge in the field of prestigious, qualified, contemporary and dental health in public and private sectors. The language of instruction is Turkish. The students who complete the programme are given the title of associate degree and the title of “Oral and Dental Health Technician". Graduates of this programme can work in dental clinics, dental health units or public institutions with dentist

Goals
The purpose of Oral and Dental Health Programme; to educate qualified technicians who can help dentists, carry out clinical and laboratory stages of patients.
Objectives
As an assistant dentist with a four-handed operating principle of our society developing educational, cultural level and to train technicians that increase the awareness of being healthy.
Specific Admission Requirements
It is required to complete 120 ECTS credits, general academic avarage at least 2,00 out of 4,00 and have completed a 30-day summer internship.

Access to Further Studies
Students who graduate from the program can switch to Health Management program with vertical transfer.
Internship
Compulsory internship is 30 working days. Internship can be done in State and University Hospitals.
Applied Course
Applied courses are carried out in Çukurova University Faculty of Dentistry clinics.
Work Placement
Work-based learning is not performed.

Employment Opportunities
Oral and Dental Health Technicians can work as an assistant to the dentist in private institutions, public hospitals and dentistry faculty clinics.
