Aged Care Program in the academic year of 2009-2010 began training with 20 students at CU Ceyhan Health Services Vocational School. Education have been continuing since academic year of 2013-2014 at CU Health Services Vocational School.

Feature & Definition
This program ÖSYM the Transition to Higher Education Examination (YGS) or profession is taken by students with the transition from high school without examination. It can be placed within the quota taking into account the graduation year, Secondary Achievement Points, the types of schools, Vocational and Technical Education Zones (METEB). There are 25 students in the quota Elderly Care Program. The language of education is Turkish. Students perform theoretical and practical courses at the Cukurova University Health Services Vocational School classrooms and laboratories and application of Family and Social Policies under the Ministry of Elderly Care and Rehabilitation Center in Adana and in nursing homes. In this program, call the Aged Care Services is given to work with the health and health technician degree in social institutions manpower are grown. These graduates are able to find health care and the provision of social services in private and public institutions and business can work as individual aged care home.

Goals
Elderly Care Services field to keep an honorable life of the elderly, to the development of health standards and contribute to improving the quality of life, theoretical knowledge with a holistic approach to elder care services for the elderly need qualifications on the basis of practitioners and developers, Ataturk´s adopted principles and reforms, responsible, open to cooperation and personal development is to ensure that a competent health technicians who can think analytically.

To provide physical care for elderly people. To ensure that social care and rehabilitation of the elderly.To support telderly people psychologically. To assist active aging and improving the quality of life for elderly individuals
Specific Admission Requirements
Students of university directed transition from vocational schools and accepted through the selection and placement exam.

Qualification Requirements of Graduation
Students must have succeeded in the courses in the program, at least 120 ECTS credits, and a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.
Access to Further Studies
Our graduates who successful in DGS are entitled to a vertical transition for the undergraduate program ( Nursing, Nursing and Health Care, Social Work , Gerontology , Nutrition and Dietetics , Physiotherapy).
Internship
Compulsory summer internship duration is 30 working days. It can be done in private and university hospitals and nursing homes .
Applied Course
Hospitals, Private Hospitals and Elderly Affiliated to the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services Life centers can do this in Nursing Homes.
Work Placement
There is no work-based learning.
