General Information
Teorical and practical education in Vegetable and Ornamental Growing, Post-harvest Storage and Organic Farming is provided in order to raise agricultural technichers those meet the needs of the public and private sector. In 2 years of education, in first year students mainly get general agricultural lectures and in the 2. year students get theorical and practical lectures related to growing of winter and summer vegetables and ornamental plants.

Çukurova is a region because of its climatic and topographic characters is a region that open andgreen house vegetable growing could be done by modern technics. Application areas and green houses used for production and research in the vocational school, give possibilities to produce many species of vegetables and ornamentals. 1 Associate professor and 2 teaching staff with doctorate degree are working in the program. In the program agricultural technicans are educated having oppurtunity of vegetable and ornamental growing and their marketing. Lectures are teorical and applied. In the applied lectures students grow plants themselves.

It is to train qualified technical personnel who can meet the needs of public and private sector AR-GE support and other personnel with sufficient knowledge and practice about quality control, conservation, preparation of bazaars and production of vegetables and ornamental plants with high yield and quality.

Specific Admission Requirements
To be successful in this program, students are required to successfully complete all the courses to meet a minimum of 120 ECTS credit requirement and have a minimum of GPA of 2.00/4.00.

Access to Further Studies
Students who have successfully completed the associate degree in this program can enter the Vertical Transfer Examinations and continue their education.
Internship
30 work day. Students are employed in various departments of the Faculty of Agriculture of the universities and in public and private institutions such as the central and provincial organizations affiliated to the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Agricultural Research Institutes, parks and horticultural units of municipalities and in companies producing especially vegetable and ornamental plants, they have the possibility to do.
Applied Course
Some vegetables and ornamental plants are planted in the green houses.

Students who graduated from the Greenhouse Program; They have the opportunity to work in the seedling-nursery sector and in the greenhouses, especially in the companies which produce the vegetables and ornamental plants, as well as public institutions such as the central and provincial organizations, agricultural research institutes, parks and horticultural units of the municipalities, the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock.
