Course Goal / Objective
Providing information about epidemiological surveillance methods used to monitor movements of microorganisms that cause infectious diseases in the community
Course Content
Basic concepts and definitions used in the epidemiology of infectious diseases, epidemiological data sources, epidemiological criteria, goals of surveillance programs and their planning, basic surveillance methods, Group A,B,C and D diseases and notification systems and phenotypic and genotypic methods used in surveillance of infection-causing bacteria, viruses and fungi
