Course Goal / Objective

The aim of thiscourse isto understand the distinctive characterand socio-cultural function of television asa means-production system and a medium of mass communication. The overall objective isto examine the television experience in an effective media literacy or critical monitoring practice.

Course Content

Thiscourse explainsthe contents of television, fiction and factual texts, and provides concepts and critique possibilities provided by the literature of species theories, ideological analysis and cultural studies.
