Course Goal / Objective

To show the processes of mineralization, accumulation and transformation especially carried out by microorganisms among the biological reactions taking place in the environment. To provide understanding of the factors that affect these processes. To teach Environmental Engineers that they can do these processes that take place in nature in controlled environments.

Course Content

Reactions of microorganisms with some organic xenobiotic substances, N reactions of microorganisms, Aerobic P reactions of microorganisms, S reactions of microorganisms, Mn reactions of microorganisms, Fe reactions of microorganisms, Reactions of microorganisms with some other metals, Reactions of methanogens, Fermentation reactions of microorganisms, reactions of microorganisms with other inorganics.
