Course Goal / Objective

To provide training on management methods of plant pests, diseases and weeds ( quarantine, cultural, physical, biological and chemical) with detailed and practical information based on the examples.

Course Content

General information about control methods on diseases, pests and weeds; quarantine, cultural, physical, biological, chemical control methods, practices and integrated pest management.

Course Precondition

To have taken courses in Entomology, Phytopathology, Bacteriology, Nematology, Mycology, Virology, Acarology or General Plant Protection.

Course Learning Outcomes

LO01 Learn the basic plant protection topics such as biology, ecology, systematic, control strategies of agents causing economical losses in cultivation.
LO02 Students have the sufficient knowledge about agricultural engineering in general and also, plant protection area in private.
