Course Goal / Objective

Students learn to use the Netherlands language properly in daily life social interactions.

Course Content

Different examples of daily life situations in Western European cultures (Belgium-Netherlands) will be presented with practical Netherlands language (supported with Turkish language).

Course Precondition

It is mandatory to have the language method "Contact".

LO01 With different examples from daily life, students will be made sensitive for cultural diversity in Belgium and the Netherlands.
LO02 Students are taught the basic knowledge of the Netherlands language from intercultural perspective for use in daily social life.
LO03 Students will be able to perceive and analyze intercultural communication issues (problems) in daily life situations.
LO04 Students learn how to solve problems in intercultural communication.
LO05 Students obtain a level of speaking and understanding the Netherlands language sufficient for use in daily social life.
LO06 Students learn to understand and recognize specific cultural characteristics in the Belgian and Netherlands social interaction.

LO08 With examples of differents social life interactions specific cultural elements will be explained and taught.
