Course Goal / Objective
To help students know the basic sources on the prophecy in Islam and do researches on the subject.
Course Content
1 Belief in prophets 2 Possibility and necessity of prophethood 3 Deistic and theistic approaches to prophethood 4 Heterodox approaches to the prophethood and their critique 5 Qualities of prophets and impossible states for them 6 Miracles and other supernatural events 7 Belief in Messiah and Mahdi, millenarist movements 8 Belief in sacred scriptures 9 Miracoulousness of the Qur’an and its place among the other sacred scriptures 10 The unseen and the imperceptible beings 11 Soul, angels, jinn, Satan 12 Belief in afterlife 13 Beliefs and thoughts opposed to belief in afterlife: Incarnation and reincarnation 14 Phases of afterlife

The content of the course is aimed at contributing to develop of scientist qualifications of the students.
