Course Goal / Objective

To give information about pesticide applications for effective, environmentally reliable chemical control against diseases and pest insects and acaries in sustainable agriculture.

Course Content

Brief introductions of pesticides and their ways of action, things to consider in pesticide applications (target, dose, spray volume, nozzle concept, pressure, spraying tools and calibration)

LO01 By learning the classification and formulation types of pesticides, it prescribes the appropriate formulation type according to the behavior of the harmful insect.
LO02 Learns the mechanism of action of pesticides and prepares spraying programs
LO03 By determining the target pest in pesticide applications; decides the most suitable components such as spray volume, nozzle type and droplet diameter and pressure.
LO04 Learns the working principles of spraying equipment and gains the ability to spray at the optimum level by choosing the most suitable spraying device in the controlling of target best by pesticides
