Course Goal / Objective
To provide information and awareness about the current and potential effects of global climate change on viticulture.
Course Content
Within the scope of this course, the effects of global climate change on the biochemical structure of berries and vegetative and generative growth physiology of table grapes, wine grapes, and raisins are evaluated. The calculation of climatic indicators used in viticulture and their importance in the climate change process are explained. Current practices and newly developed techniques to mitigate the negative impacts of global warming and climate change on yield and quality are introduced.
