Course Goal / Objective

It aims to prepare and implement breeding programs with special breeding methods in important summer and winter vegetable species using various breeding techniques.

Course Content

Breeding methods used in vegetable breeding, accelerating methods of breeding programs and special techniques applied in vegetables (making selections, breeding and crossbreeding, testing, selection in hatching generations, mutagen applications, keeping records, etc.) are explained; In addition, breeding purposes in important vegetables, inheritance status of certain characters, applied traditional and modern (biotechnological) breeding techniques
