Course Goal / Objective
It aims to inform the effects of grafting in vegetables on plant characteristics and fruit quality, what are the grafting techniques used in vegetables, and in which vegetables grafting is commonly used.
Course Content
The history and present of grafting in vegetables, the use of grafted vegetable seedlings in the world and in Turkey and its economic importance, the reasons, advantages and disadvantages of grafted seedlings in vegetables, grafting methods and seedling production techniques used in vegetables, rootstocks used in grafted vegetable production and their characteristics, grafted vegetable growing techniques The content of the course consists of the effects of grafting in vegetables on plant characteristics and fruit quality, and scientific studies on watermelon, tomato, eggplant, pepper and melon, where grafted seedlings are widely used in vegetables.
